Hello and welcome to my website. Thanks for taking the time to visit; please use this site to stay updated on class information and class assignments. Now a bit about me.
I was born and raised in Spartanburg, SC and attended Clemson University for a year. I transferred to a small school in Spartanburg, USC-Upstate, where I received my degree in Secondary Education: English. I moved to Charleston on a whim and ended up here at Summerville High. I love the tradition and excellence of this school, and I am excited to be teaching here. GO GREENWAVE!!!
My favorite book changes on a daily basis, but I love Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I enjoy reading books by local authors such as Mary Alice Monroe and Dorothea Benton Frank, as well. I find it incredibly interesting to read in print about the places I live. I hope that my passion for reading is extended to my students as well. Happy reading!
