Visting Artist!

February 19th, 2008

Noted figure sculptor Julie McCrany-Brogdon taught a two and 1/2 week figure sculpting workshop for SHS students. Many students gave up their lunch period to spend this time learning about both sculpting and studying the human figure from Ms. McCraney-Brogdon. DDII Fine Arts Coordinator Larry Barnfield hired models to pose for 2 hours each day. He paid Ms. McCraney-Brogdon from a grant that the district had received. The students created excellent sculptures. They will be on display at Sculpture in the South in May.
