We will have a quiz on the Europe map on Tuesday, February 19th.

The outline for chapter 11 will also be due on Tuesday. Outlines for chapters 12 and 13 are extra credit, and are due by Wednesday February 20th.

The final test for Rome will be on February 28th.

We are working on the newspaper project on Greek culture. Students should have the guide for the project along with the names, phone numbers and email addresses for their group members.

Students will begin working on a group project today. They will be researching Greek culture and creating a newspaper to showcase their learning. We will be in the media center and computer lab to research and create this project. If students use their time wisely, they should be able to get most of their work completed at school.

3. After making your Greek shields do you think the material the shields, swords, and armor was made out of important? Why or why not?

Students also received new textbooks on cdrom. The link to the support site for this text book http://www.classzone.com/cz/books/wh_survey05/book_home.htm. This site has flip cards for vocabulary and a number of other resources for students to use. We are currently working in chapter 25.

January 16th

Students are going to be working through Greece this unit. Outlines for chapter 8 are due tomorrow, January 17th. In the Greek unit we will be re-enacting a battle between Greece and Persia. We will need cardboard for shields, pool noodles for swords, and paint for the shields. Extras are welcome!

Students are also working on the article summaries that they started in December.

They will receive their edited outlines today, typed final prints are due Tuesday, January 21st.
