Greece phalanx battle questions
1. Now that you have studied the Greek phalanx battle formation and fighting strategy, why was strategy important? What was the best strategy for face-to-face, hand-to-hand combat? Why?
2. Based off your understanding of ancient warfare how has it changed over the centuries? Do you think it has become more advanced? Why or why not?
3. After making your Greek shields do you think the material the shields, swords, and armor was made out of important? Why or why not?
4. Was the amount of noise (music, drum, yelling) an effective way to inspire fear in an enemy? Why?
